How To Get Swimsuit Ready With BionicGym

It’s that time of year! Do we hate it, or do we love it? Maybe a little bit of both. The spring and early summer are such an anxiety-filled time when you realize that you didn’t keep the goals that you made during the new year after the Christmas feasting died down. You start removing your layers as the weather warms up and are surprised how much extra “love” you’ve accumulated. Well, don’t stress because you can still get your swimsuit ready with BionicGym! Here’s how:

Workout 5-6 Times Per Week

Probably anyone past the teenage state of life has tried to get on a set exercise schedule at least once. And I’d say a majority of people who have attempted a workout schedule have failed that schedule at least once as well. If exercise was easy, everyone would be doing it. While BionicGym is much more convenient than other workout plans, you can’t go into thinking it is going to be “easy.”

Commit Before You Start

BionicGym is exercise and it does burn fat like any other exercise. Your heart rate rises, your breathing gets more labored, and you sweat. Heck, you will probably even be sore afterward. Just because you can work out while sitting down doesn’t mean that it will be easy. So those who assume it will be, have a harsh reality slap them in the face when they start this exercise program.

This is why you need to go into it with realistic expectations. This is an exercise tool. It is not a magic pill that will make you lose weight. It takes effort and determination. While you don’t have to drive to a gym and work out on machines you don’t know how to use, you still have to wake yourself up in the morning and CHOOSE to work out. You have to look in the mirror and say to yourself that you are sick and tired of being sick and tired and you want to change your life for the better!

This takes a commitment on your part and some motivation.

Motivation

So how do you motivate yourself when you don’t feel like working out? What is your “why” to working out? Are you doing it to look good? Are you doing it for overall health? Are you working out to stave off depression? Or are you doing it to prevent diseases that run in your family like diabetes? Maybe you want to set a good example for your kids. Whatever the motivation is, you need to find a way to remind yourself of it constantly. Here are some ways to do it.

  • Get a goal outfit, pants, or swimsuit
  • Reward yourself with something non-food-related. This could be a trip, a shopping spree, or something else you’ve been saving up for.
  • Put sticky notes with motivating quotes around the house
  • Have a picture of your kids where you work out and commit to being a more active parent.

Whatever drives you, use that to keep yourself going. But if you have one or two or fifty moments of weakness where you skip a workout, don’t be too hard on yourself. Just get up and try again.

Exercise in the Morning

There is not necessarily the most “ideal” time to work out in the day. Exercising 30 minutes in the morning will burn the same amount of calories as exercising for 30 minutes at night. However, some people swear by one or the other.

Evening

Many people will say that the evening is a better time to work out because they are not morning people. Waking up early is challenging, there is no doubt about that. It is a habit that needs to be developed and comes naturally to people very rarely.

Sometimes people like to work out at night because they feel it helps them fall asleep easier, and this is especially true if you suffer from restless leg syndrome.

Other people feel it works in their schedule better because they don’t have to rush to get ready to go to work after a sweaty workout.

Morning

Although many people say they prefer an evening workout, I stand by my advice to work out in the morning for a few reasons. But if you literally cannot make the morning work, then that is just fine! You can still get a great workout in the evening. Here’s why I prefer the morning:

More Likely to Do It

Almost no one makes plans regularly in the morning. My only plans after I wake up is to get ready for the day and then go to work, of course. So it’s pretty easy to know if you are going to be able to carve out some time for exercise in the morning.

However, if you plan to work out in the evening, things will almost always come up. You might get asked on a hot date, your kids could have t-ball practice, or you could just be way too tired from the day. So if you wake up and exercise, you are way more likely to get it done than if you wait. If you wait, there will always be an excuse not to do it.

Gives You More Energy

I know it sounds crazy because exercising takes energy, but it actually makes you feel more wide awake too! If you crawl out of bed and put on clothes and head out the door, you’re probably going to feel sleepy as you pull into work. However, if you’ve had a good pre-workout drink, got your blood pumping, and then showered after, you will be WIDE awake when you go on with your day. You will be up and ready to go! Your brain will function much better as you work.

Helps Your Mood

Do you know how a lot of people who preach about how to be more productive will tell you to start the day by making your bed? It’s because it is an easy thing to do but it makes you feel very accomplished right off the bat. You already have a success to check off your list.

It is the same with exercise. If you exercise first thing in the morning, you immediately feel very accomplished. But instead of it being a little thing like making the bed, it is a huge thing that is beneficial for your life! It does wonders for your self-esteem.

Starts Healthy Choices

When you exercise first thing in the morning it starts your day off right with a healthy choice. So you are much less likely to make unhealthy choices throughout the day. You will likely reach for an orange for a snack rather than a handful of potato chips.

Eat a Healthy Breakfast

As mentioned earlier, when you workout, you automatically want to make healthier choices. And one vital part of getting a swimsuit ready with BionicGym is to make healthy food choices. There are a lot of diet plans out there that might help you to lose fat fast. But many of these plans are not sustainable.

Now, I know that one thing that is successful for someone may not be successful for another. However, there is something that is undeniable and that is that if you have a deficit of calories coming into those going out, you’re going to lose weight. But that is a lot easier to say than to do. It can be very hard to stay away from unhealthy foods.

How To Curb Cravings

Of course, it is going to take a lot of self-control to eat healthy all the time. This is especially true if you are used to a high sugar diet. Your body will tell you it needs sugar if you are trying to eat healthily after a long period of unhealthy eating.

The absolute best tip I have for curbing your cravings is to start with a healthy breakfast. If you have a breakfast that is high in protein and good carbs then you will stay full for a long time and you will feel satisfied.

High Sugar Breakfast

When you eat sugar first thing in the morning, you get a burst of energy that feels good. But that energy doesn’t last long. Even if you don’t feel a “crash” after eating sugar, you will likely crave more not too long after your high sugar breakfast. That is because your body is looking for another shot of energy to get through the day. This causes your body to go through a roller coaster-like motion of sugar highs and lows.

Eating this way will cause you to consume a lot more empty calories. If you fill yourself up with good food that will burn slowly throughout the day you will consume less and feel more satisfied.

Find Active Leisure Time

According to the Mayo Clinic, you should aim for about 30 minutes of exercise a day. This is an average person. If you are looking to lose more weight then you will want to increase that exercise time. But exercising all day every day will feel really tiresome after a while. So how can you bring more activity into your life without necessarily working out all the time?

BionicGym

Constantly doing a HIIT workout will wear you out really quickly and sometimes it is hard to take the time to work out after a long day. This is especially true if you spend a lot of your day standing. however, if you have BionicGym, you can watch a movie with the family and work out on the couch. You can scroll through social media while you work out. Or you can call a loved one. You can bring together leisure time and exercise.

Outside Activities

Another way to find active leisure time is to make time to go outside. You could go to a park, watch a concert, wash your car, or do some gardening. This may not be very active work, but it will keep you off your bum. And the Mayo Clinic says, “Reducing sitting time is important, too. The more hours you sit each day, the higher your risk of metabolic problems.” So your overall health can improve just by sitting less.

Sit Less

They have also found that people who sit less are less likely to be overweight. So even if what you are doing is very small, it all adds up. Here are some ways to get you off your feet:

  • Grocery shop yourself rather than getting delivery or pick up
  • Park far away from the entrance
  • Take the stairs
  • Play with your kids at the park rather than sitting on a bench
  • Stand while on the subway
  • Do lunges when you take a walk
  • Walk around the neighborhood while on the phone
  • Do calf raises while cooking dinner
  • Write your name in the air with your feet when you sit

We live in a world full of conveniences. Take some time to slow down and be more active! It might take more time to walk upstairs than to take an elevator, but the benefit for your body is unmatched.

Drink Plenty of Water

Drinking water is essential to losing weight and keeping it off. Here are my favorite reasons why water is so beneficial.

Removes Calories

When you burn fat, the byproducts come out of your breath as water and CO2 and it also comes out of your sweat and urine. So without water, you cannot lose weight. It is what carries out the fat. If you don’t have enough water in your body, then it won’t sweat as much and it is not as healthy overall.

Fills You

I also love drinking water because it makes me feel full. I have a tendency to want to eat until I am uncomfortably full. This makes losing weight hard because my body will very rarely tell me that I am completely satisfied. However, if I drink water with meals then I am much less likely to overeat.

There have also been many times when I feel a bit snacky, but before I eat something I take a drink of water and realize that I wasn’t actually hungry. I was just really thirsty.

Cleans Your Body

Water is an essential part of the waste removal system in your body. You need to have water to urinate and pull all the bad things out of your body. When I drink more water I feel much healthier because I am giving myself what I need to cleanse myself of toxins.
