Have you ever been really dedicated to a workout program and then went on vacation and it all went out the window? It can be really difficult to follow most fitness plans when you are out of your typical element. If you don’t have a gym at your disposal or you don’t feel comfortable running on the streets surrounding your hotel, then you could be out of luck to keep up your training. If you are someone who likes to travel and you do frequently, this can really throw a wrench into your plans. However, there is an answer to this problem, and the answer is BionicGym! Here are a few reasons why BionicGym is great for travel.
Most people travel for work or for pleasure by air. You might like to road trip every once in a while, but if you’re a real jet setter, it’s likely that you’re going by plane more often than not. With airlines being very strict about weight limitations and bag sizes, bringing any exercise equipment along with you is basically impossible.
However, BionicGym is about the same size as a pair of pants and won’t take up much room in your bag. It is lightweight and won’t break your back if you even want to limit yourself to a carry-on.
Don’t Need A Gym
Booking a hotel is pretty easy in big metropolis areas, but what if you are going a little further out? The options are a little bit more limited. While you might think that having a small gym connected to your hotel is pretty standard, it actually isn’t as common as you might think. So if you are the type of person who relies heavily on weights and other gym equipment, you might ruin all your progress by going on a trip where there is no gym at your disposal.
However, if you are one of the people who love using BionicGym, then you can do this from the comfort of your own hotel room while you surf some of the channels that you might not have at home. Your regimen is not going to be different at all and your exercise routine won’t suffer from your inability to access equipment you’re used to.
Long story short, you don’t need to depend on a certain environment to use BionicGym. You can use it literally anywhere.
Another huge benefit to traveling with BionicGym is that you can really cut back on the number of germs you come into contact with. Especially nowadays, you can never be too careful. Though you might be sleeping in a hotel that has a gym, if you don’t want to venture down there to a room where several people from several different areas come and use the equipment and leave behind germs, you don’t have to.
Many hotels are very vigilant when it comes to cleaning during COVID but you never know about the gym area. How often can housekeeping get down there and how often do people actually clean up after themselves? These might be risks you are unwilling to take.
While a lot of people are thinking about their health safety during COVID, it is important not to forget about physical safety as well. When you are traveling, you likely don’t know the area very well. YOu could easily get lost or wander into a rough area without noticing it. And some areas that look safe and nice during the day can turn into really scary places under the cover of the night. So if you are someone who likes to run around the area that you are traveling to, at least take a friend or a dog with you. It is important to stay alert, especially when you are in an area you’re unfamiliar with.
If you have BioincGym, this will never be an issue. You can hook yourself up in the comfort of your hotel room and do your workout as you normally do in the safety of the hotel.
How To Stay Diligent On Vacation
Whether you have a gym at your disposal or not is not the only hurdle you have to jump over to stay diligent while on vacation. Even if you have BionicGym with you, it can be difficult to keep your normal routine going. Why? And how do you overcome these obstacles?
If you are traveling to a new time zone, it can take you a while before you feel like you are firing on all cylinders and exercising might be the last thing on your mind. It can be really difficult to pull yourself out of bed and keep a schedule while you are traveling for work or for pleasure.
The absolute best thing you can do for yourself to keep your fitness routine up is to set aside a time each day for doing your workout. This can be tricky if you are sharing a room with someone else who isn’t as eager to wake up in the morning and work out, but you can still do this without bothering them too much! Here are some tips:
Bring a noise machine:
BionicGym is not a very loud device at all. However, your breathing might be annoying enough to disrupt your partner or child’s sleep. Bring a noise machine that you have used ahead of time and know that you love.
Don’t lay in bed:
If you are laying in bed while doing BionicGym, you are sure to wake up your loved one. And if you’re on vacation, then the last thing you want to do is make them mad! Make sure you sit on an office chair, lounge, or even lay on the ground if you have to.
Talk about your schedule ahead of time:
If your partner doesn’t want to wake up early, then be kind and considerate. But your definition of early and theirs might be a bit different. This is why it’s best to communicate ahead of time. Explain that it is important for you to stay diligent if you want to keep up your progress and that you want them to be happy as well. Figure out a time when they approve you working out in the room that will also give you enough time to get ready for the activities of the day.
Another huge challenge to traveling and keeping up your fitness routine is that you don’t have your normal food at your disposal. Depending on where you stay, it can be really difficult to eat healthily or prepare your food ahead of time. Here are some tips for this:
Eating out can be very expensive, especially if you are eating healthy food. However, it is even more than that. If you are eating out for every meal, you are likely eating upwards of three times the amount you should per day. Restaurants don’t necessarily care about giving you a well-balanced meal, but they mostly care about making a delicious meal that you will want to come back to. If you have a kitchenette in your place, then you can make your own meals or you can eat out but limit yourself to just eating half of the meal and saving the rest for later.
Be wary of breakfast buffets:
People love free stuff–me included. If I ever stay at a hotel that has a breakfast buffet, you’d better bet that I’m trying one of each thing. And it doesn’t matter if the waffles are pretty tasteless, they’re there and they look amazing, so how can I pass that up?
You do have to be wary of these buffets because you will almost always overeat. Though it seems like a killjoy, if you really don’t want to lose your progress, then set down some ground rules that you will be happy with. Something I might do is, tell myself that I can have a muffin if I eat an omelet or bowl of oatmeal first. I’m not really telling myself, no, but I will be much more likely to save the muffin for a snack later on or just pass it up altogether if I fill up on more nutritious food. If you don’t have the self-control that you need to pass it up, then just decide to skip the buffet completely and have a plan for something else.
Have healthy grab-and-go options:
One reason people are so bad at diets on vacation is that they are eating on the go and are looking for something quick rather than something healthy. There are a lot of quick unhealthy options, but not a lot of healthy ones. So when you are packing up and getting ready to go, put some power bars in your bag, trail mix, and maybe even a lunch bag with an ice pack with cold treats like cheese sticks and fruit. If you have quick grab-and-go options that are healthy already around you, then you won’t be so tempted by every drive-thru that you pass.
Travelling is challenging for everyone because it messes up your routine. However, with BionicGym, your routine can be closer to normal than was ever possible before. So why is BionicGym great for travel? It requires no equipment or special places to work out and you can bring it with you in your carry-on. It is the ultimate convenient fitness program.
